 3-D Printing Club Moderator: Ms. Mei Yang Ever wanted to take an idea from your head and turn it into something real you can actually hold? Welcome to the 3D Printing Club — the place to get hands-on time with design software and 3D printers. We’ll teach you everything step-by-step so you can start bringing your own 3D models to life. Join us and see what you can create! No experience necessary. All are welcome!  AI/ML Moderator: Mr. Mike Chechelnitsky Learn the workings of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and help members participate in competitions. ASL Club Moderator: Ms. Sarah McBride | ASL Club is a club wants students to learn about ASL, deaf culture, and being an advocate for people who are deaf. Students don't have to know any ASL to be in the club and attend club meetings. The point is to learn about the Deaf community and learn signs. It's to highlight deaf experiences, events, and even modern day activities that are happening constantly in the deaf community.  Audio/Visual Club Moderator: Mr. Dale Thompson A/V Club’s responsibilities are to set up and run the liturgies, rallies, and other activities such as the night of acoustics, or dance showcase. We run the sound systems, the light systems, and the presentations or projections.  Aviation & Transportation Club Moderator: Mr. Brian Wahl Learn about the physics, history, and technology behind flight. Starting this year, we're also covering rail and ships. For each mode of transportation, we'll cover their past, present, and future. In addition to meetings on campus, we'll also be taking field trips to museums, airports, and rail depots.  Baking Club Moderator: Mrs. Joy Anderson Baking Club members engage in baking themed activities through watch parties, decorating events, baking contests, and monthly at-home theme baking challenges.  Book Club Moderator: Ms. Ella Hadrovic Come join Book Club for a fun, inviting space to discuss what we're reading and connect with people who share our love of books. We don't have required reading, but we recommend books across genres and create literary crafts together.
 Bring Change To Mind Moderator: Mrs. MaryLynne Rodriguez Bring Change to Mind is a National Organization, created to bring awareness and conversation to mental health and reduce stigma in high school communities.  Build and Design Club Moderator:Mr. Chihiro Ikezi Learning build and design through lego building, gingerbread house contests, and point-perspective workshops.  Calligraphy Club Moderator: Ms. Karla Andrade Galvan The Calligraphy Club is a creative space for students to explore the art of beautiful writing and lettering.  Chess Club Moderator: Mr. Terry O'Donnell We provide the opportunity to play and learn more about chess.  Cooking Club Moderator: Mr. Michael Pilawski | Cooking Club is a group of students who get together 8 times a year after school, learn a recipe from our amazing hospitality staff, cook the recipe and then eat it. Come join the fun!  Crochet Club Moderator: Dr. Sean Gross The Crochet Club meets after school and gives students and educators a space to share our passion for crocheting a variety of items from plush toys to blankets. Everyone is welcome regardless of experience level. If you are brand new to crocheting, we will help you get started and encourage you along the way! Economics Club Moderator: Mr. Cade Nethercott For students who want to learn about Economics while playing a variety of games.  Environmental Club Moderator: Ms. Kim Taylor Our club is committed to expanding our understanding of environmental issues. We work to educate our St Francis community and raise our school's standard of sustainability through hands-on activities. Our biggest event is Earth Week. Fellowship Of Holy Cross Athletes Moderator: Mr. Michael Pilawski Come share your faith journey with other Saint Francis athletes in a collaboration setting. The group meets once a month for donuts, juice and fellowship.  Film Club Moderator: Mr. Don Carroll Film Club is a casual group of students who are interested in the art of filmmaking. We meet to watch a film as a group, and then have a discussion afterwards.  FMSA (Future Medical Students Association) Moderator: Mr. Philip Pompei Future Medical Students Association (FMSA) is a club committed to helping students explore the various medical fields in anticipation of medical school. We bring in local health care professionals to educate our club members and host at least one on-campus blood drive per year in partnership with Red Cross.  Girls Who Code Moderator: Ms. Joanna Vollucci Girls Who Code strives to increase the representation of women, transgender, and non-binary individuals in technology and to break down the gender barriers that exist in society and the industry. Our goal is to create safe, inclusive spaces and provide opportunities for people of all genders to explore and engage with various Computer Science topics!  Guitar Club Moderator: Mr. Chihiro Ikezi Social club that invites all musicians of any level to jam on Fridays after school.  Ignite (Youth Group) Moderator: Mr. Chris Mardesich | IGNITE is our school's faith-based youth group, run by a core team of students and our Co-Moderators. Founded as a Catholic/Christian space to openly share faith, this group is open to all students of any background to find a space to find community and fellowship. A typical night has free dinner, games, music, a personal sharing, and small groups. We also host on-site Day Retreats such as ENCOUNTER and PATHWAYS. IGNITE is a space where you can be real and belong.  Injury Prevention Club Moderator: Ms. Isabelle Alduino The Injury Prevention Club promotes safety and helps people learn how to prevent common injuries. IPC members learn about proper exercise techniques, stretching, nutrition, and the importance of specific daily habits. The club also focuses on the mental challenges of being injured, and provides a support space throughout the recovery process. Lancer Radio & Podcasts Moderator: Mr. Dale Thompson | A school podcast for any and all topics, fully run by student volunteers! Supports our LEAP program and our library Oral History program as well.  Lancer Studios (Live/Production) Moderator: Mr. Matt Ross Home of all Student Broadcast and Video Media  Math Club Moderator: Ms. Vanessa Staton We prepare for and participate in competitions including AMC, BMT, and SMT. We talk about interesting topics that are in these competitions and work through example problems together.  Mind-Body-Spirit Moderator: Ms. Rachel Safier At Mind, Body, Spirit, we practice self-care as well as deepen our knowledge of mindfulness through different relaxation techniques. Our mission is to connect people through activities such as tai chi, art, and meditation. Mind, Body, Spirit is a safe space for people to step away from the everyday stress of school and foster new relationships while learning to express themselves and their identities. Mindframes / Creative Writing / Café Mots Moderator: Ms. Nancy Yang We are a student-run literary magazine that publishes student art, poems, and stories. We gather to create and share our work, and to make decisions about our magazine for publication in the spring.  Model United Nations Moderator: Mr. Zachary Herhold |  Multicultural Showcase Club Moderator: Mrs. Theresa Orozco | The Multicultural Showcase Club is dedicated to highlighting and celebrating the rich cultural tapestry of our school community. Each year, our members collaborate to host an annual showcase that brings students together through the universal language of performance and storytelling. Newspaper Moderator: Mr. Don Carroll | The Lancer, the student newspaper, is an online publication that allows students to express their journalistic interest in current events, art and culture, sports, and school events through writing, art and photography. It's an excellent opportunity not only to produce a quality student publication but also to develop leadership skills, as students can occupy many different organizational roles requiring responsibility.  OC3AN (Ocean Activity/Appreciation/Activism Club) Moderator: Mr. Michael Rubin The Ocean is calling and I must go!  Paint Box (Art Club) Moderator: Mr. Ben McEvoy Paintbox, the Saint Francis Art Club. Come create with your fellow Paintbox members!
 Photography Club Moderator: Ms. Amy Sherrard  Quantum Computing Club Moderator: Mrs. Kerry Lewis Quantum Computing Club is a space for curious students to discover the future of computing. Through projects, discussions, and teamwork, members build a strong foundation in quantum concepts while having fun learning together.  Quiz Bowl Moderator: Mrs. Elise Bibriescas Quizbowl is a fast paced, buzzer-based game in which players answer questions across various categories. For example, the questions could be from literature, history, science, pop culture, music, and many others. Teams of up to four students compete against other regional teams to qualify for the national tournament that occurs in May in Atlanta. Over the past two years, Saint Francis has achieved deep playoff runs, securing a highest of 21st place nationally at the tournament in 2025. Overall, quizbowl is a great opportunity to have a lot of fun, explore new areas, and build an amazing community together!  Robotics Moderator: Mr. Addison Raak  Science Bowl Moderator: Mr. Chidozie Onuegbe Club geared towards spreading healthy competitive appreciation towards STEM  Science Olympiad Moderator: Mr. Jason Tobin Science Olympiad is a national STEM competition to challenge students across a wide variety of subjects. Members choose which events they want to compete in, and collaborate in groups to either study for their subject, or build their submission. Competitions go throughout the year and do require competing members to travel around the Bay Area, possibly farther.  Service Club Moderator: Mr. Sean O'Niell Our mission is to unite the school community through meaningful service, fostering compassion, collaboration, and a commitment to making lasting impact in our community and beyond. By hosting monthly service events, we aim to inspire every student to take action and develop leadership skills by serving others.  Social Business Club Moderator: Mr. Chidozie Onuegbe A club geared towards expanding knowledge of the financial sector and working in business  Speech & Debate Moderator: Mr. Thomas Woodhead  Sports Medicine Club Moderator: Ms. Isabelle Alduino The sports medicine club provides students with opportunities to learn about different professions, skills, equipment, and more that exist in the sports medicine world. Meetings will be directed by the students and led by the moderator, so bring all of your medical interests and we can explore them. Meetings can include fun anatomy games, taping instructions, emergency care scenarios, and more. If you're interested in anything sports medicine (e.g Doctor, Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer, etc) you should check it out!  Stock Market Club Moderator: Mrs. Kelly Walsh If you are interested in learning about investing tools and financial decisions, the Stock Market club is a competition based club. We spent our time competing in three national events over the course of the school year - The Wharton Investment Competition (Fall), The Federal Reserve Podcast Competition (Winter/Spring) and the National Economics Challenge (Spring).  Society of Women Engineers Next Moderator: Ms. Rachel Sabol Explore engineering, build connections, and discover new possibilities in STEM! Through monthly engineering meetings, guest speakers, networking opportunities with engineers, hands-on experiences, and our annual spring conference, we create opportunities for girls to learn about different engineering pathways and connect with professionals and peers. Our goal is to build a supportive community where girls can share experiences, make connections, and grow their confidence in STEM.  Theater Tech Moderator: Mr. Dale Thompson The Technical Theatre club is devoted to bringing the Saint Francis theatre productions to life through Set Design, Lighting Design, Sound Design, and Stage Management. Our club is a great opportunity to build skills in fabrication, painting, leadership, costume design, fly operation, and much more. Tech meets Monday through Thursday from 3:00 - 4:30 with people dropping in whenever they can. We also have Run Crew, a more exclusive tech opportunity, where students have the chance to run productions and be an active member in the rehearsal process.
 Ukulele Moderator: Contact Mr. Lucas The ukulele club is one of our performance groups at Saint Francis. We preform at school events like Night of Acoustics in the fall, International showcase, and Christmas in the Quad during Winter. We teach our members how to play ukulele and preform. We also offer singing positions in our club.  Ultimate Frisbee Moderator: Mr. David Trollope | An intramural club that meets mostly at lunch for some frisbee fun. All levels welcome to learn how to throw, play the game, and spend time with friends.  Vega-Tarian Moderator: Contact Mr. Lucas  Yearbook (Poverello) Moderator: Mrs. Stacy Dawson | Poverello is the nationally recognized award-winning student-run yearbook. The premier publication of the Saint Francis journalism program, produced in the advanced journalism 2-4 courses.  Youth Philanthropy Moderator: Mrs. Helen Solinski A Youth Philanthropy Club empowers young people to become active, informed changemakers in their communities. Through fundraising and volunteering, members learn firsthand how to identify local needs, evaluate nonprofit organizations, and direct resources toward causes that matter, building lifelong habits of generosity, civic engagement, and leadership along the way. |

 CSF (California Scholarship Federation – T/A’S, Tutoring Club) Moderator: Ms. Monica Batres The California Scholarship Federation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to recognize and encourage academic achievement and community service among middle and high school students in California. There are approximately 1500 chapters in middle school and high schools throughout the state, and each chapter is comprised of students members who meet eligibility requirements. Each chapter is led by a staff adviser.  |
