ASL Club is a club wants students to learn about ASL, deaf culture, and being an advocate for people who are deaf. Students don't have to know any ASL to be in the club and attend club meetings. The point is to learn about the Deaf community and learn signs. It's to highlight deaf experiences, events, and even modern day activities that are happening constantly in the deaf community.

IGNITE is our school's faith-based youth group, run by a core team of students and our Co-Moderators. Founded as a Catholic/Christian space to openly share faith, this group is open to all students of any background to find a space to find community and fellowship. A typical night has free dinner, games, music, a personal sharing, and small groups. We also host on-site Day Retreats such as ENCOUNTER and PATHWAYS. IGNITE is a space where you can be real and belong.

Injury Prevention Club

The Injury Prevention Club promotes safety and helps people learn how to prevent common injuries. IPC members learn about proper exercise techniques, stretching, nutrition, and the importance of specific daily habits. Quiz Bowl

Quizbowl is a fast paced, buzzer-based game in which players answer questions across various categories. For example, the questions could be from literature, history, science, pop culture, music, and many others. Teams of up to four students compete against other regional teams to qualify for the national tournament that occurs in May in Atlanta. Over the past two years, Saint Francis has achieved deep playoff runs, securing a highest of 21st place nationally at the tournament in 2025. Overall, quizbowl is a great opportunity to have a lot of fun, explore new areas, and build an amazing community together!

Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad is a national STEM competition to challenge students across a wide variety of subjects. Members choose which events they want to compete in, and collaborate in groups to either study for their subject, or build their submission. Competitions go throughout the year and do require competing members to travel around the Bay Area, possibly farther.

Sports Medicine Club

The sports medicine club provides students with opportunities to learn about different professions, skills, equipment, and more that exist in the sports medicine world. Meetings will be directed by the students and led by the moderator, so bring all of your medical interests and we can explore them. Meetings can include fun anatomy games, taping instructions, emergency care scenarios, and more. If you're interested in anything sports medicine (e.g Doctor, Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer, etc) you should check it out!

The Technical Theatre club is devoted to bringing the Saint Francis theatre productions to life through Set Design, Lighting Design, Sound Design, and Stage Management. Our club is a great opportunity to build skills in fabrication, painting, leadership, costume design, fly operation, and much more. Tech meets Monday through Thursday from 3:00 - 4:30 with people dropping in whenever they can. We also have Run Crew, a more exclusive tech opportunity, where students have the chance to run productions and be an active member in the rehearsal process.

The California Scholarship Federation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to recognize and encourage academic achievement and community service among middle and high school students in California. There are approximately 1500 chapters in middle school and high schools throughout the state, and each chapter is comprised of students members who meet eligibility requirements. Each chapter is led by a staff adviser.
